Missing you

Okay, I totally miss blogging.

Lately, I have been thrasing through the overgrown pathways of my life that was long forgotten while I was away in South America... Columbia, SC in particular. I've started full force into this new life... which I don't understand how the city which I stampeded across for 5 years in undergrad could become such a huge strange city to me after being away for only 8 months.

I'm lonely.
Say What!?!

How could I possibly be lonely, Columbia has become like a second home over the years. Thank God, or else I'd be chilling on the ledge of tall buildings for funsies. I have reasons for these feelings:
A. All of my closes relationships are taking place over the phone. It's so hard for the ones you love to be so far away.
B. I'm working full/part time and taking on 700 level English Grad courses for the first time... yep, just me and all the PhD student's. Awesome.
C. I just want to be traveling. I JUST WANT TO BE TRAVELING.

On the upside:
I love my new home, and Fallon (my roommate) is great.
I love my job
I have a new love interest
My brother is here, MY BROTHER IS HERE... makes me so happy.

Snow, shmow

I really detest the snow, greatly. I lived in a Patagonian winter for 4 months and now South Carolina decideds it's going to have a full on winter season... cruel.

I was supposed to start graduate school yesterday, I had everything packed and I was ready. Then, it gets cancelled. I wish I could tell you how many cars have driven by today... dozens, DOZENS.

South Carolina, get real.
